Talking about music is like...

My work is something I am proud of and as a contributor to Jazzwise magazine, Bass Guitar Magazine and now Time Out London, where I am the Jazz editor. I'm passionate about music and have been very fortunate to speak to some of the greatest musicians in the world about their creativity and knowledge.

As both a player and a huge fan of modern bass players I’ve been very fortunate to interview Victor Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Gary Willis, Matthew Garrison, John Patitucci, Richard Bona, Chris Minh Doky, Esperanza Spalding, Tony Grey, Hadrien Feraud and Linley Marthe. I consider these players some of greatest living electric bassists and they are very inspiring both as players and people. Other recent interviews include the one of my favourite jazz guitarists Mike Stern, the great saxophonist David Sanborn and cult post-jazz piano trio The Bad Plus.
